Haha, I totally came at this backwards via tumblr, but here I am, finally. XD

Any fandom meta, really. Of fandoms that I'm in/know about the canon, I mean. I don't tend to take things personally, so I'm completely fine with disagreement, even strong disagreement. Though I might argue back just as fiercely! I never make ad hominem attacks, though.

- What your journal's like (personal/fannish/picspams/etc):

Mostly fannish talk about what I've seen/read/played. Sometimes about things I've done, too, only at the moment I mostly work and nothing much happens.

- Friending dealbreakers:

Well, if we have no fandoms in common there might not be a whole lot to talk about? Though "dealbreaker" might be a little strong a word. In all probability I think other people will have more problems with me than the other way around, haha.

- Some other things about you: how you spend your days, secret supervillain objectives, etc.

My life right now is not very exciting, I'm afraid! Single, work in a bookshop (a very nice bookshop specialising in SF/F books and films, though), trying to muster up the energy to continue with my degree in Japanese.

Hi! We don't have too many fandoms in common (my thread is here: http://cloudsinvenice.livejournal.com/35938.html?thread=207970#t207970) - I like RTD!Who and Sherlock, and HP, but nothing else among what you've listed. However, I realllly like your journal - the Khan-explanation was fascinating (I've never seen anything Trek) and I loved your thoughts on Django (one of my favourite films everrrr) and anyway I'd like to add you for your movie reviews! Is that okay?

Oh, by all means! I'm happy you enjoyed my pretty scrambled thoughts on Django, but yeah, it was great, wasn't it? I loved that film so much. And thank you for your kind words about my attempt to collect my thoughts on Khan in his various incarnations!

I've been talking about that female character thing with another person in my circle, and it's been really fun, I just haven't had the time to do it myself. I'll probably come around and comment on yours rather than do one myself, heh.

Mmm, re-listening to the Django soundtrack now. I particularly loved the part of your review where you waxed lyrical about Foxx's performance - I was absolutely smitten by him and the nuances he brought to the role, but most reviewers don't mention it! So, I was glad to see I'm not alone.

Also, yessss, please come around commenting! I am having lots of fun doing the women meme, which I didn't expect - I don't usually do meta - and I love that people are reacting to it!
