I love that your internal monologue goes Irish! Hiberno-English has very, very addictive cadences and syntax, and a lot of it comes from the grammar of Irish, which I didn't know until I wandered through Brewer's Dictionary of Irish Phrase & Fable. I'll have to dig up some examples for you because if I try to explain you'll just get semi-recalled inaccurate claptrap, but trust me, it's cool stuff. :D
