Current fandoms: Les Miserables LotR/Tolkien in general (forever fandom) Age of Sail Marvel 616 Bit of MCU Saiyuki Star Trek (TOS, AOS, need to get around to watching the others)
Long list of other things I'm interested in if they come up but don't actively seek out; including but not limited to: Sherlock Holmes (ACD); Vorkosigan saga; Battlestar Galactica; Discworld; AtLA; a few bits of DC comics (Green Arrow and some Batman); various novel fandoms, especially historical fiction and sf/f, and horror; some historical RPF. In terms of historical stuff, I have a preference for the 19th century (+late 18th and early 20th through WWI), in Europe and in Japan, though other periods and countries are also cool.
Past fandoms: I don't really leave fandoms very often, the only things I'd definitely class as "past" are probably Harry Potter, Bleach and D.Gray-Man.
Favourite FFA threads: 100 words, and any heavy-duty meta discussions that show up
Favourite FFA critter: Belladonna and Thor
Things you'd love to have more conversations about: - meta about any canon, especially character analysis - history! I would really like to have more people to talk about history with - I keep reading all these cool things and I want to chat about them, both to flail about how history is cool and to bat stuff around so I'm more sure I understand it - science fiction, especially hard sf, especially especially older stuff, and also related real-world science (space. is. so. cool.)
What your journal's like: at the moment, mostly empty, except for a few fics, and some flocked personal stuff. I want to post more but it feels weird talking to no-one in particular; I would make more meta posts etc. if I thought anyone was listening. Oh, and some original-ish fic for this universe, of which there should be more when I get off my butt and do shit...
Friending dealbreakers: Um, nothing in particular? Like, I don't want to be friends with you if you're transphobic/homophobic/a rabid Tory, but if you're any of those things chances are you don't want to be friends with me either.
Some other things about you: how you spend your days, secret supervillain objectives, etc: - 22, British but living in Japan until September, doing an internship as part of my Japanese degree. - I half wish I'd done a science degree instead (I miss physics ;;) but only half. - I try not to get into SJ stuff online too often but I do have Opinions. I can't really define my political position beyond "very left-wing", but that should be an indication. I'm more likely to comment on other people's rants than to have my own, though. - I'm trying to start writing fic again, recently, which I haven't done for years.
