My brain is mush, but...

...Robin of Sherwood is coming back as a one-off radio play with many of the original cast! :D

ETA: Here's another article from the Radio Times website, with a slightly different list. Very encouraging so far... http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-07-23/robin-of-sherwood-to-return-with-stars-jason-connery-ray-winstone-judi-trott-and-clive-mantle

Hoorah!!!

Ro-bin, the Hooded Man, da-dum--I just love that Clannad soundtrack: I have it as vinyl and CD plus all the DVDs, Praed and Connery. Such a sucker for that show :D

We went to the L'pool Empire when Jenn was about 3 to see/hear a late evening performance by Clannad, one Sunday evening. They were fabulous as we'd expected and it being about 1991 (?) they had a whole section of Robin songs in the middle. Their support act was a gorgeous long-haired Irish lad called Brian Kennedy so we've been fans of his ever since...what a voice! Jenn loved every minute though we were keeping her up late, and we had to miss the last encore and leave just before the end at 11pm in order to catch the last train home. Happy memories :)

OMG...this is so exciting! I adored that treatment of the legend and still rewatch them occasionally. I have the soundtrack on my MP3, (also love Clannad). It was such a good show...it's too bad Robert Addie passed away--his Guy of Gisborne always sort of tore me up by the end of the Robert of Huntingdon era.Nicolas Grace, great as the devious, greedy Sherriff and Ray Winstone was a fabulous (and very different) Will Scarlett. I'm so excited for this!
