I don't think that's pathologising at all; I've had similar thoughts about my own parents (indeed, a common conversation in my online support group is, "I'm starting to wonder about my parents now I'm seeking diagnosis..."). It's like, you can see all these things as individual and unconnected, but if you hypothesise ASD as the underlying cause it makes a lot more sense.
